Corbett National Park was founded by the Late Jim Corbett in 1936,the legendary hunter of man-eater tigers and a great nature lover. The Corbett National Park is India's first National Park which has proven paradise for the visitors because of its breathtaking scenic beauty.
The Ramaganga River flows along side of the Park,which is the most popular place to watch the majestic sun setting behind the hills. This river is also known for its fishes and fishing camps which are often organized along various stretches of the river.

The Kanda Ridge which surrounds the northern core area of the park,is a trekking point with a height of 1043 m. The Ridge Ghoral and Goat antelope are often seen here. You may also visit Dhikala Machaan,a wooden platform build on a tree. The Dhikala Machaan has been preserved as it was years ago.
